Traditional Occitan repertoire from the south of France

For several years now, the Cercamon ensemble has been performing for
crowds of avid fans throughout North America. Their compositions are
moving, upbeat and untamed, sure to please any music enthusiast. Their
fourth recording, ROUGE OC, focuses on a traditional repertoire
inspired from the south of France.
Cercamon is proud to put forth a reinvented sound that integrates the
double bass in addition to its original instruments including the
chalumeau, the bouzouki, the wheel fiddle (hurdy gurdy) and the
rauschpfeif amongst others. With its unique groove, this new sound
will delight audiences of both worldly and instrumental music, be it
ancient or contemporary. A collection of catchy tunes that will
energize crowds and linger in the mind of each spectator long after
the experience is over.
